Reid can't count on this Eagles edition

08:09 AM ET 01.04 | Andy Reid's Eagles have seen their share of highs and lows -- some in the same game, as was the case against the Giants -- this season, and he's not always sure what he's getting when they take the field. "I know we've got a good team, but I also know that I haven't been through this with them. There are a lot of new pieces here and I haven't been through a playoff experience with them." Reid has never had a younger team make the postseason than this one. He has never had a more dynamic quarterback than Michael Vick. He has never had a playoff defense that allowed this many points and passing touchdowns. Mix all of that together and the Eagles are a mysterious, singular stew.

My imagination says elimination.

The Vikings just won there with Joe Webb! Hate to say it but it will be easy for the Pack this weekend.

...already making excuses are we?

A few weeks ago I was ready to say it would be an Eagles/Patriots superbowl. Now I'm only convinced of the AFC representative. The last few weeks have rather humbled the beast that was the Iggles. Now I think the field is wide open. While I still think they are formidable, I don't know that they are as polished as they once appeared. And it seems as though it's been easier lately for opponents to get in Vick's head and get him out of his comfort zone.

I'd have to say Atlanta at this point.

They'll be fine. Coach's usally express doubts (Lou Holtz for example) TO THE MEDIA/PRESS -unless you coach the Jets.

The Jets' fate is sealed this Saturday. I can't wait to see THAT post game talk.

Eagle's offense is the most explosive and dynamic in the league. Their defense has the most takeaways in the league. But their run and pass defense overall is lacking compared to previous seasons. I recommend giving Rogers a concussion in the first quarter, and maybe hurting Clay Mathews real bad too if they want a real chance of winning this weekend, because I think the Packers are one of the more dangerous wild-card teams of the past few years.

And really what has he been able to count on in the past? A few NFC championship games and one Super Bowl loss. Unless success is based on almosts. If that's the case I almost won the lottery.

My fingers are crossed for you. Spend it all on hookers and booze. Then squander the rest foolishly.

January 4, 2011  09:10 AM ET

I can picture the Pack D getting after Vick and bouncing him off the turf like a rubber ball.
