08:04 AM ET 01.05 | With Tom Cable out, there is some justified worry -- highlighted by Shane Lechler -- that the Raiders' locker room could suffer from the loss. As professional athletes, they will be ordered to fall in line behind Cable's successor, whose initials are likely HJ (Hue Jackson, the Raiders' offensive coordinator) instead of JH (Jim Harbaugh, ex-Raiders assistant turned Stanford savior). No, the players aren't going to stage a palace coup over this. They know who runs A.D. Football Inc. But they won't like Cable's departure. ... Player displeasure with the Raiders' latest coaching change could cause rifts, scorn, distrust and disbelief.

If it's anyone but Jackson, there is going to be chaos.

Wait... uuhhh... chaos never leaves the Raiders, does it?

I like the Bowles move. He will light a fire under that D big enough to heat the metroplex. I don't really like the Beltre contract.

Me either... but it is an upgrade at 3rd and Young at DH isn't so bad.

Let the kids grow on the mound and let's see what happens.

I agree. As a Raiders fan I am sad that the man who brought us to 500 is fired. More proof Al is senile.

Al Davis press conferences are always such a joy. Never know how much decomposition has taken place until the lights hit him.

Then there are the incoherent ramblings of a dead man...
