08:24 AM ET 01.05 | If the ax falls on Rich Rodriguez, would he return to the conference that made him a candidate at Michigan in the first place? There currently are openings at Pittsburgh and Connecticut, both in the Big East, where Rodriguez has coached. Rodriguez left his alma mater, West Virginia, a Big East school, to coach at Michigan. ... Those close to Rodriguez say if he is fired by Michigan, there is a strong possibility he will take the year off and spend time with his family -- wife, Rita, daughter, Raquel, and son, Rhett -- before returning to coaching. But if he decides to coach next season, he will find some interested suitors.

A loser for a loser conference. Perfect match.

Funny, he couldn't beat Pitt, when it mattered for WVA. Now, he'll lose to WVA, for Pitt when it matters most!

Where ever RichRod lands, he needs to get a good DC and stay out of that DC's way.

All is well in the Buckeye nation so **** Michigan and Rich Rod. I wish them luck with their losing program.

Great game last night. Good win for the Buckeyes. I see where the SEC is 3-4 and the BIG10 is at 3-5 for bowl games this year.

I was thinking the same thing...SEC with 4 bowl losses.

What, me worry? IMO, I think LSU and Auburn will win close games, so that should put them at 5-5 for bowl games.

I could be wrong OT but I think LUS will kill aggy! I think they are mistaking how good they are due to the weakness of the Big 12 this year. Obviously, I been wrong before though. Aggy did play a fairly decent game against arky in jerrah's house earlier this year.

He can take his time deciding, thanks to a $2.5 million buyout, if he's let go.

I can't believe Pitt would hire Rodriquez anymore than Rodriquez would consider Pitt.

Your imagination is running wild.

Aggys are my least favorite team in the Big XII (-2), but Sherman has surprised me in how he has this team performing. Would expect this to be a close game.

Hey wait a minute. The B12 South is 3-1. Greatest conference in all of CFB. ; )

Speaking of...did Mack come over to your house to watch any of the games with you?

I really, really, really, really, REALLY hope Oregon beats Auburn in the National Championship Game and destroys the SEC's aura of BCS invincibility once and for all.

and it was the Big 10 that was the victim of those 3 SEC wins. This is a scrambled year for CF at least in trying to determine conf superiority. There is no doubt (even pending the outcome of LSU/TXAM) that the SEC West was a loaded division. But the rest of the SEC not much better than anyone else. One thing is clear though, the SEC will be well stocked next year with experience, particularly if many highly touted Jrs stay in school.

Michigan needs to cancel it's football program if they are going to look this bad, they need to man up and start acting like Michigan. They can't play ball and they can't even fire someone right.

Its all about looking pretty to get to 1 game and then being the best prepared, and in some cases, most fortunate team on the field that night. SEC always comes prepared for that game. But I am taking the ducks for the upset although I have a hard time going against VY jr.

Isn't this the first time in BCS history that a SEC and PAC10 team played for a National Championship?
