Knicks seeking Amar'e-Nash reunion?

08:15 AM ET 01.05 | While a report has the Suns "on the fence" about whether to move Steve Nash, the Knicks may be poised to pounce should Phoenix open the possibility. There's not much mystery when it comes to the sort of teams that are closely monitoring the Nash situation, as any competitive club without a Hall of Fame-caliber point guard would stand to improve significantly by bringing him aboard. And the New York Knicks, according to a source with knowledge of their thinking, are most certainly still among that group. Despite the career year being had by free-agent addition Raymond Felton, the Knicks have continued to target Nash and are prepared to make a pitch if the Suns send word that he is available.

This might be good for Knicks so as long Nash understands that this is Amar'e's team.

QUOTE(#4):

NO WAY. Forget it. We do not need Steve Nash unless he is willing to play for league minimum, which he won't. Last night's game showed that although the Knicks still have improvements and upgrades to make, they no longer suck. Nash. Please. What can he do for us really? Scratch this idea. Let's move on.

Agreed. No way in hell we get on this Knicks. He's too old and will take away minutes from Douglas who is probably the best defensive point guard in the league. No Nash... I will hate to see you in Knicks uniform.

Donnie let RayRay play, leave this Nash talk in the toilet.

Where do you guys come up with these? This would be Isiah dumb. Nash while still good, is way past his prime and that would destroy Felton.

And while I'm at it, wait for free agency to go after Melo. No sense in gutting the team if you have an opportunity to get him in the off season. Build!!!!

Agreed . Felton is playin g at an allstar level...( oooo Boy did he destroy Tony Parker last night...sorry SD), and Felton is much cheaper...we dont need 36 year old point guards, no matter how good their career has been

This win started when Gallo got hurt. Having him on the wing makes our perimeter defense so porous and because he just shot three's he was a offensive liability as well. When he gets back he needs to come in from the bench and post up small guards on the low block like he did against the pacers... that'll will somehow negate his defensive woes. If he ever gets to start D'Antoni is a moron.

Stay in Phoenix, Bro.

While still one of the leagues premier point guards, Nash is 36 years old. Next year, as he contemplates retirement, the Bricks would again be needing a point guard. Felton has proven himself to be quite a catch. Concentrate on what you really need--a center.

QUOTE(#15):

Can a run and gun PG like Nash work in the triangle offense?

For sure... the thing with Nash he's an excellent shooter so on a team like Lakers with bigs that can cover up his helplessness on defense he'll be a great asset. However I hear he's staying up late messing with chicks due to the divorce he's going through so I don't know if having him in the hoor capital will help...

What we need is a power forward with size that can shoot. D'Antoni hates traditional centers...
