08:02 AM ET 01.07 | The Jets and Patriots have a knack for squaring off even when they're not playing each other, at least not yet. First, the Jets would have to beat the Colts. But if they do, Rex Ryan has given a head start to what would be a circus-like week of Jets-Patriots anticipation. In a news conference Thursday, Ryan was asked about facing a great quarterback like Peyton Manning. ... "The guy is tremendous. There is no one else like this guy in the league. Nobody studies like him. I know [Tom] Brady thinks he does. I think there's probably a little more help from [Bill] Belichick with Brady than there is with Peyton Manning."

When will this guy shut his pie hole. chances are he won't be facing Brady again this season anyway since Rex will be gone by the time the Pats get to play. MORON!

"...I think there's probably a little more help from [Bill] Belichick with Brady than there is with Peyton Manning."

Yep - And I'd lay odds Little Bill just helped Brady again by passing this little nugget over to him.

This guy needs a foot massage.

Wait, didn't Brady prison rape his entire defense the last time they played? I seem to remember this sub genius talking smack before that game and not having much to say afterwards. Bonehead. I don't think his team has played well enough against Brady and the Pats to keep spewing this fecal matter from his mouth.

So it's bad when the head coach helps his QB win?

Leave it to Rex to say something stupid.

I thought you agreed with Rex with your first comment.

Yep, that's a real "swipe." Talk about overhyped BS.

To a point. not the notion that Brady isn't great, but Manning is a different kind of great.

Kinda like Montana and Marino... different kind of "Greats" but both great nonetheless...

Everyone tune in tomorrow night @ 8:30pm. This will be goooood!

Brady won't need it, because he will not see the Jets again until fall of 2011 (maybe)...

Does this guy actually do any coaching?

He's eaten more onion rings than Brady. Or, the New England area, for that matter.

As soon as this Ryan fellow wins something, maybe, just maybe, the media will respect him.

He might get a little bit of that respect at home as well.
