08:08 AM ET 01.07 | Vince Young's career remains in a state of limbo. However the avenue turns between Tennessee and Young's next stop, it's one [Pete] Carroll and general manager John Schneider should explore. If they thought enough of [Charlie] Whitehurst's combination of size, speed and arm to acquire the career backup with a two-year contract worth $8 million, they've got to be drooling over the prospect of Young. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Young is bigger than Whitehurst, faster and shiftier than Whitehurst, more experienced than Whitehurst and yet, at 27, nine months younger than Whitehurst. But it's Young's passing ability that really distinguishes him from Whitehurst.

Someone should remind Pete Carrol that's he's not the same QB who beat him in the 2006 Championship Game

That says more about Whitehurst than it does about VY.

It tells me Whitehurst wouldn't qualify for the PP&K tournament.

The NFC West will continue to be terrible, so (strangly enough) this may work.

Yep... ready to get going on the draft. Holes to fill...
And I'm starting to come around on a thought... if there are no Safeties or CB's that make sense at #9, maybe we should take Blackmon after all.
That kid is going to be a monster and having Bryant & Austin also...

With the secondary as is they will have to score more than 35 a game to have a chance so maybe they do that.

The reality is that they probably trade out of #9 anyway. But other than Prince, I don't see any secondary guys I would take at that spot.

We all do. It's strange seeing them in the playoffs, even if it is for one week.

Why don't the Cowboys just trade one of their RBs? I'm sure they can get a decent pick for Barber or Choice, and it's not like they run much anyways.
