Well, even though I'm a Sox fan, they did make it to the ALCS last season. And, if Pettitte returns, they have basically the same team coming back. So, I would think they are still a threat.

Same team - a year later. While they were declining, others around them were getting better. Boston would have been a threat to them - with 2010 players - if half their injured players got healthy.

I guaranteed you that this isn't the 2011 that was in their master plans. Meanwhile, they couldn't fill up the seats in their brand new ballpark last year.

Cashman is usually pretty good about picking up pieces to make the team a little better, such as last year with Kerry Wood and Lance Berkman.

As a Sox fan, I still respect the Yankees.

I agree....some of you fellow Sox fans need to tone down Yankee bashing here....both teams are proven winners and both should (and probably do) respect the other. The Yankees will be right in the mix as usual and win 92-97 games like they always do.
