11:37 AM ET 01.09 | The Twins say they don't know whether free-agent DH Jim Thome, 40, will accept their offer, but the fact that he still hasn't signed elsewhere seems to indicate he'll be back in Minnesota to pursue career home run No. 600. He has 589 homers.

I like Thome, but there just aren't a lot of places for him to go. He has to stay in the AL to be a DH and only has about a year left.

Manny, Thome, Vlad and Damon out there on the DH market. If you want to toss in Giambi, Nick Johnson and Branyan in there, it's a buyers market.

Thome is a great fit in Minnesota, he likes the players and the way they play. He is like another coach as well, and as the Commodore Fan stated he will be a great coach when he is done playing.
Another question, is the DH position running out of steam? Will they eventually go back to the AL pitcher hitting?
