Hasselbeck to Vikes?

08:09 AM ET 01.11 | Minnesota could use its No. 12 pick on a quarterback of the future, which won't entirely solve the team's issue at the position. The other quarterback the Vikings need to sign is a veteran free agent who can start for one season and make the Vikings competitive in 2011. Someone not named Brett Favre. Matt Hasselbeck could be that someone. ... Hasselbeck, who has played for Seattle since 2001, has said he will retire if the Seahawks don't want him back. But that's easier said than done now that he's proven he still can be a quality starter in a league that's starving for more of them.

no way...dont want Kolb or McNabb or Palmer either. Vikes cant throw away any draft picks this year. we already dont have a 3rd. I still say take the best QB at #12 and let him play. I could live with Webb as #2 and Bomar #3.

The Vikings have the BFS (Brett Favre Syndrome). Take a free agent veteran QB to start him during a season and try to lure him into an other one with a bad side effect.
I'm a huge Seahawks fan and Hasselbeck did a lot of good things for the team. But there were too much ups and downs for a QB of his experience.
I think the Seahawks should go Young(er) ... if you know what I mean

Being that Luck is staying in school, that means Mallet will likely go much higher than he should. After him, no one is worth that pick, but if you want a QB that bad to reach...

i know what your saying...but id still take a reach for Gabbert or Locker at that pick OR trade back some and get another pick. But heres another scenario...take a stud OT with the 12th pick and then QB in 2nd Round?????

i could live with that (OT 1st pick)...the more i think about it...Vikes might trade back...maybe NE would throw a couple of their picks at us to move to that slot. now that Childress is gone Belicheck might play nice

Matt has a history of not being able to win the big one. He'd be a perfect fit for the Vikres.

They have a lot more problems than just QB next year. A lot of contracts run out at the same time. i would not be surprised to see them end up behind the Lions next year. Not at all.
