08:15 AM ET 01.11 | The Kings won't be playing in Arco Arena much longer, a fact that has more to do with naming rights than relocation, though the latter is not out of the question. Responding to a column in Monday's Orange County Register suggesting that the Maloofs are entertaining offers to relocate the franchise to Anaheim because of Sacramento's inability to provide a modern entertainment complex to house the Kings, co-owner Joe Maloof said: "We are looking at all options to ensure the long-term viability of this franchise. We're looking at all our options. Of course you're going to look at your options! We're businessmen. We've been at this for 10 years without any [arena] success."

Anaheim? How about just concentrating on putting a viable squad togetherSacramento can draw if the fans believe the team at least had a chance of making the playoffs and competing......the kings suck, and in a bad economy,no way will people want to WASTE their $Put a respectable product on the floor, its one thing to have a bad year or two....but sac has been badd for a while

let me make a plan for kings management
1. get a respectable squad that will win 25-35 games next year
2. Win The games
3. this will bring in more fans not a bad gameplan if you ask me...

The problem isn't the arena, or its location; the Sacramento Kings still hold the record for most consecutive sold out games. The problem is the Maloofs themselves. All they need to do is put a half-decent team on the court, because the fans obviously don't mind Arco. But they're so caught up in wanting to move, that they are willing to drive the team into the ground. If they keep b*itching for much longer, Sacramento just won't want them anymore, and I can't blame them.

Another reason why the taxpayers should NEVER fund these stadiums. If the owners and players cant bring in enough money to build their own stadiums, then let them play outside if this 10 yr old stadium isnt nice enough for the pampered SOBs

he should go ahead and move them. 5 cities I think can support a NBA team in no particular order; Tampa, Kansas, Cincinatti, San Diego, Richmond VA

Every Kings fan in the Sac area, and I mean EVERY one, are not surprised to read this. We've known this was the agenda from the moment the MacGoofs bought the team. The team has been a suck fest for awhile, and even the stoutest fans ( we filled that stadium for YEARS for a 35 win team! ) can only take so much. Most fans I talk to have been apathetic to the Kings for awhile. Why cheer for a team that is clearly on it's way out of town? It's not the stadium, it's the lack of effort on ownership. Where-ever they land, they will look back at the Sac fans, and see the high point of that franchise's fan base. We wont care though, we've already moved on.

Tampa... we know they can't support what they have (Rays, Bucs). Kansas City, I can see the argument and they have a new arena. Cincy... unlikely given they have a hard enough time with the Reds and Bungals. Though, they will fill the house when the Bengals are playing well and not in disarray. San Diego? Eh, they'd rather say "surf's up dude". Richmond, VA? LOL First time I ever heard that. I used to live there and will say they can't support a minor league baseball team much less get an arena built that's suitable.
