Robinson: NBA handing Griffin dunk title

08:45 AM ET 01.11 | Nate Robinson isn't sure what the NBA is doing with its dunk contest field, but the three-time champ does think Blake Griffin is getting off easy. Robinson said he was invited to dunk along with the Clippers' 'Blake Griffin, Milwaukee's Brandon Jennings, Oklahoma City's Serge Ibaka and Washington's JaVale McGee at Staples Center, but with a rising star like Griffin on display, it was clear to him the league was trying to usher in a new era. "It's time to basically let Blake Griffin win, because that's what they want," Robinson said. "Hopefully the young fella can go on and get it done."

Shut your face, Bro.

But seriously; Why is DeRozen not invited to the contest?

Might have to do with him stinking it up last year.

Nate. The forces at hand don't wamt to hear that kind of talk from one of their own. It would be wise to keep your mouth shut.

i'd like to see a picture of nate sitting on david robinson's lap looking like a damn ventriloquist.

ummm...Josh McRoberts was denied a chance to dunk and i know he gets up Up UP! They put together a weak filed so that Blake Griff could win it...i agree with Nate Rob

Unless Griffen jumps over an airplane or something I don't see how he can live up to expectations in the dunk contest. And here's a question: Why wasn't Bill Walker of The Knicks invited to participate?? Just youtube some of his dunks and you'll be speechless. Will Bynum and Terrence Williams are two other small guys who should be in it.

Guam - Nate only did a bunch of re-dos in the '06 dunk contest. When he won in '09 he didn't miss a single dunk and last year he missed just two. Not too bad for a dwarf if you ask me!
