08:09 AM ET 01.12 | Stephen A. Smith took the occasion of a Tuesday radio appearance to predict that Rasheed Wallace would come out of retirement to play for the Celtics. "I'm here to tell you that Rasheed Wallace will come out of retirement once the [Feb. 24] trading deadlines expires in all likelihood, because he wants another shot at the Lakers," Smith said. ... "I'm telling you that's what Rasheed told me ... Rasheed Wallace." As was the case with James and his decision to head for Miami, Smith could ultimately be proven right. But for now, Wallace's agent, Bill Strickland, said he has no reason to believe the 14-year big man is planning a comeback. "I don't think that's the case -- for now anyway," Strickland told FanHouse.

Wow what a crock.Just suddenly join the celtics success, don't play all season and somehow just join the team? And yet this foolishness is allowed??

it happens all the time...PJ Brown was brought in for the celtics at the deadline the year they won the ring......and he hadnt played at all that season...

He may be useful in a couple of situations. He should go play for Orlando. He would be more useful there since they need a backup Center.

Yea I remember that.Still don't see how that was granted either.Sheed wants a "easy road" to a title. He should either suit up now or retire! At least he has a ring. But on the real Orlando needs a backup...With Perkins scheduled to return soon I don't see how Sheed gets much minutes.

WASUP DEE! The heat have been insane for the past 22 games man looks like things are working out.
