09:18 AM ET 01.16 | The Bears really need to get Jay Cutler some professional help with his social skills so he can present a better public image when talking to the media. Not for our sake. For his. How many quarterbacks as awkward as Cutler in public forums have won the Super Bowl? How many quarterbacks as overtly disdainful -- purposely or inadvertently -- of the media process that molds much of his public image as Cutler have sustained success in the NFL?

I agree one hundred percent. I also heard that when he is out with teammates to dinner, he even puts his elbows on the table and can not differentiate between the various forks. If someone doesn't keep Jay from himself, I fear what may become of him.

Really? Give me a break...

As long as he can win on the field, who cares?

Not directed at you Stu... just the Tribune hack who wrote that piece.

The Chicago media has a weird habit of trying to get in the heads of their players and create an awkward atmosphere. Ive been following Chicago sports all my life and Ive never understood this mentality. Why would you want to take it harder for the teams you cover? I dont blame Cutler. Just look at the headlines from the tribune a few days ago..."When Pressure Has Been On, Cutler Has Been off"..."Dilfer Takes Cutler To Task"..."2006 Bears Better Than 2010"...its absurd how negative the Chicago media is towards the teams they cover. The NY media isnt this bad. Maybe someone can explain to me why they do this.

Exactly, Otis. Too much self-entitlement happening with the media.

Or at least the members who feel their arses aren't being kissed properly, like Mark Potash of the Chicago Tribune.

Cutler is a nightmare.

Amazing.

Apparently the Tribune works solely on a quota system.

Media types really need to get off their high horses. So your saying this guy needs professional help because he doesn't like being interviewed and clearly shows disdain for it... good god, I'd be screwed then.
