Richt on hottest seat for 2011?

08:47 AM ET 01.17 | It's the offseason, which is as good a time as any to wonder about which coach is sitting on the hottest seat in the country. It has to be Georgia's Mark Richt, right? ... So far, Richt is going into next season with the same coaches he had this past season, when the Bulldogs went 6-7 and failed to score a touchdown against UCF in the Liberty Bowl. Maybe Richt knows stability will serve his team better than change -- especially with a rising sophomore quarterback -- but that might not sit well with fans. The Bulldogs could be in for a rough start, too, with Boise State and South Carolina in the first two games of the season.

Man, he's been on that hotseat a long time. His rear must be made of Assbestos.

Neuheisel at UCLA has to be feeling some heat at this point also. I'd put him up there on the hotseat hit-list.

Skippy hasn't been there long enough to take them to the depths, give it time.

He must say all the right things in meetings with ADs and such because I think he'd be gone if he coached anywhere else.

All the good ones face a down season if they stay at a school long enough. You just have to make sure you don't have them consecutively.

The people in power at UGA know that he was a major force behind FSU's dominance in the mid-to-late 90's. I guess that buys him some time. He's also a man of character and integrity.

All that being said, I'm still surprised he's lasted this long at UGA without bringing home any titles. This year is probably the end of the ride.
