08:54 AM ET 01.17 | Lew Wolff would like to move the A's, and he's willing to wait it out. He is trying to move the team to San Jose, where he has plans for a 32,000-seat privately-funded stadium to keep the A's in the Bay area. ... Even when Wolff wants to spend money to bring in top free agents, he is hindered by the stadium and the atmosphere. The A's tried for two years to acquire Adrian Beltre but he has no interest in playing there. "It's been very difficult to attract players," Wolff said, "and once their wives see it ..."

32,000 seats? rather small, but i guess it's better than having a half-empy stadium?

San Jose is a Giants town. I don't see the A's being successful there, either.

They need to stay on their side of the bay.

Oakland should pick up and move to central texas, where they would have the place to themselves in the corridor between San Antonio and Austin. MLB needs to keep up with demographic trends in the country.

Or move to Portland, there's no baseball team there.

32,000 seats? That's it? That seems pretty small too me. Maybe too small. If it's all he can afford, I guess it's better than the Oakland-Alameda County whatever the heck it's called Coliseum, but that would be by far the smallest park in the MLB.

San Jose would be a great move for the A's too. The city is dying to have a major sports team outside of the Sharks. It's the 10th largest city in the US at just over 1 million people. I think they deserve this team.
