NHL fining Rangers $100K per day
A U.S. District Court judge Friday denied the Garden's request for an injunction to prevent the Rangers from being fined $100,000 per day by the NHL for failing to cede control of their Web site to the league. And though Judge Loretta A. Preska's 25-page ruling was a comprehensive repudiation of virtually every claim MSG made against the NHL's New Media Strategy, the Garden insisted it would appeal and continue its fight to gain more business autonomy from the league. The Garden claimed in its Sept. 28 complaint that the NHL was acting as an "illegal cartel" and thwarting off-ice competition between member clubs by carrying out a Board of Governors-approved mandate to operate all "new media" ventures under the league umbrella. Specifically, the Garden sought a ruling that prevented the NHL from levying daily fines of $100,000 until and unless the Rangers' Web site came into compliance with league rules.

This is crazy!!! Bettman needs to back off and the Rangers need to focus their energies on winning. Bettman and Bush must picnic together! However, unlike BUsh, Bettman's term is not up so the NHL has to deal with this Hobbit for the long run!!!!!!!

I can't stand his shaking moves and lousy jokes when he hands the cup to the winner. Insulting. Insulting and disgraceful! OUT.
No team should let the NHL manage their website. Fans need real insider info on their team not the results, stats, injuries, suspensions and other blah blah you can get on NHL.com anyway.
