Pack WR slams Soldier Field

Love that both of the championship games are outdoor games in cold weather! Suck it up, your a football player.

Put in Field Turf. Of course, the ownership is way to cheap to do that.

Field conditions are not going to affect one team more than another. Both teams are playing on the same field. With the projected high of 16 for Sunday, I think he should be more concerned with how it will feel when he hits the turf!

Funny, it was the BEARS complaining a month ago:
several players remain concerned.

??????If you???re going to preach player safety, you would think they would put you in the best conditions to be safe,??? said Bears safety Chris Harris. ???I don???t think an icy field is the best conditions.???

Therein lies the problem. Although not as bad as AstroTurf, the players aren't too fond of FieldTurf either. And resodding fields late in the season (especially in cold climates) has its own problems. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it's worse than just playing on the old dirt.

he probably still doesn't know where he is.

It is a level playing field, a sucky field for sure, but level.

It is the same for both teams. The Packers are already a cold-weather, outdoor team, and I recall the beating the Bears took against the Patriots a few weeks back. I'm guessing that the field hurts the Bears worse than the Pack. Mike Martz is still known for "The Greatest Show on Turf," an offense really more at home in a dome.

I'm glad that its the one being talked about and not Heinz Field. They just put that puppy down on Jan 2nd.

The theme for this season has been - just shut up and play!

actually the bears don't own Solider Field. the city of chicago does. they have little say and no final control over the type of field.

so while the ownership is cheap, this one isn't quite their fault.

that was about playing at the university of minnisota, which is not ment to be played on in the cold winter months (ie - no heated field so the whole thing is like playing on concrete).

so please, try again.
