08:27 AM ET 01.19 | Packers fans living in Chicago? Jake Dowell isn't going to make a prediction. But the Eau Claire, Wis., native will be pulling for the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game. "I don't have a prediction because it could come back and bite me," Dowell said. Such as getting booed Sunday, when the Hawks host the Philadephia Flyers in a rematch of the Stanley Cup finals? "I will get booed," Dowell said with a laugh. "It's a tough crowd out there." The ever-growing buzz surrounding the Packers-Bears game reached the Hawks' locker room Tuesday at Johnny's Ice House West, where Dowell and Madison, Wis., native Jack Skille were cornered. "I'm picking the Pack," said Skille, who said he might wear a cheesehead at practice this week. "It's my home state, and they are our team up there." Most Hawks, though, are siding with Jay Cutler and Co.

January 19, 2011  09:08 AM ET

My God, why has the media been sitting on this story. The horror, the horror...............will it never end? They're from Wisconsin and they root for Green Bay? Send 'em to Guantanamo!

The way Rodgers is playing the Pack is an easy pick.

No such thing as an easy pick when it comes to a divisional opponent...Just ask the heavily favored Pats.

Skille, Dowell draw ire of Bears fans

It sounds like some Bears fans have taken the persona of their quarterback and turned into whiny, little, beotchs.

Might be a good idea to not wear a GB Packers jersey for the game on Sunday, too. That might annoy some people.

He'd still be a whiny, little beotch.

I know but that takes effort...

So we have a Flames, Habs, Thrashers, Oilers and Blackhawks thread today and only one of them is threatening to go to page 2 in comments. It can't be that slow of a day can it?

You really need to change that avatar pic. I can barely stand to look at it :)

If football is part of the conversation... Go Pack to win it all. Proves they were right to get rid of the hillbilly.

They have the stuff to knock off either AFC team. They stood up to the Pats with a little used back-up QB who might well have beaten them if he knew how to run a 2 minute drill better than Donovan McNabb...

January 19, 2011  01:14 PM ET

Wearing a cheese head looks as bad as the fat broad wearing a wing-nut hat behind the penalty bench at the Pens game last night. Only second to the nut with no shirt on at the Bears game last week.

Hey, stop making fun of the elderly. Grandpa really tried.

Please tell me that the Jets didn't put all their eggs in the beat-the-Pats-at-all-costs basket and that they have something left for Pittsburgh.

How about - Why does Sexy Rexy like football?

Cause the playing field's 300 feet.
