08:06 AM ET 01.21 | Joe may be the only Namath rooting for the Jets on Sunday. Broadway Joe hails from Beaver Falls, Pa., a suburb 40 miles north of Pittsburgh, and his brother, Frank, told Newsday Thursday that there are about 30 Namaths still residing in the area. So when the Jets meet the Steelers in the AFC Championship Game Sunday night in Pittsburgh, which team will the rest of the Namath family be rooting for? "If Joe was playing for the Jets, we'd be bleeding green and rooting for Joe and pulling for the Jets," Frank Namath said. "But right now we want the Steelers to win. It's where we live."

Ok, not sure why we needed to know but I guess now we'll all sleep better.

January 21, 2011  09:03 AM ET

Wow, no one seems to want the Jets to win. Or rather, no one EXPECTS the Jets to win...

January 21, 2011  09:03 AM ET

I guess it's fitting that Joe is from Beaver Falls.

It's always good to have an alcoholic in your corner.

As long as the Steelers don't implode like the Pats, they'll be good.

I wonder who Frank Stallone thinks will win. Or Frank Sinatra, Jr.

January 21, 2011  09:20 AM ET

How's that million dollar contract looking these days Joe? Got anything left?

Frankly, I don't give a damn what the Namaths think.

I just want the Jets to get their toes stepped on. Hard.

i don't think they will...this team actually has a defense.

Pittsburgh used to beat the Jets on their DNA alone...

... it was imbedded that the Steelers beat NY.

Now... who knows..?

Pittsburgh is very fortunate, it's laid out there for them...

... they have a team they should handle, at home.

NY did them a favor by elliminating N.E.

Larry Bird is from French Lick, Indiana. Is that close to Beaver Falls?

January 21, 2011  09:51 AM ET

Gotta pull for the JETS. Cause when they win, all the illegals will run out into the streets waving Mexican flags yelling Viva Mexico. Then we can round em up and send their butts back to their great country.

Anyone ever wonder where Joe would be if the Jets Lost SuperBowl 3 (after Joe made the prediction)?

Patrick Ewing predicted the Knicks would beat the Bulls every year... It might have happened once.

Now Patrick is slummin down in Orlando.
