08:12 AM ET 01.21 | In an effort to switch things up, Byron Scott went a little deeper into his offensive playbook -- only to catch his team by surprise. Cavs players got a tongue lashing from their coach at practice Thursday for still not knowing the plays. Scott isn't installing more than half of the playbook for his Princeton offense this season, yet apparently both veterans and rookies alike forgot a good portion of it already. Scott called out a play in the loss Wednesday that the team hadn't used in a couple of weeks. As a result, no one was sure where to go in what eventually became a 106-98 loss to the Suns.

Great Article by TNR...

We're not talking Showtime here as far as Talent.

Byron should dummy down the Playbook...

Offense: Put the ball in the basket
Defense: Get between your guy and the basket.

half the way through the season and coach is just realizing this

This figures. The Cavs offensive play book for the last 5 years has consisted of....give the ball to LeFlake and get out of the way.

January 21, 2011  11:24 AM ET

as a few have already stated many of these cavs don't even know what these so called "plays" are, rather they were all use to the ol' "hey LeBron, what do you want to do" offense

Sigh...I was afraid this would happen. Most of those guys are probably use to the dumbed down offense from the Lebron era. On the brightside. "The first pick in the 2011 in NBA draft lottery goes to......THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS!!!"Works for me.

unfortunately in a draft with no guy who stands out as a legit #1
