Wall asks for Wizards to fine him

09:35 AM ET 01.23 | Recently, while John Wall was going over game film, Wizards assistant Ryan Saunders pointed out that the No. 1 overall pick was walking nonchalantly into his jump shots instead of consistently stepping into them and jumping. Saunders also noticed that Wall displayed a defeatist attitude - frowning, tugging at his jersey and rolling his eyes -- after poor plays. Saunders showed Wall so many instances that eventually a fed-up Wall asked Ryan to have Coach Flip Saunders fine him any time he does those things. And from there, it was established that Wall would pay $50 for every time he visibly expressed his frustrations; Wall believes negative reactions from a team captain would cause his teammates to lose focus and confidence. It might come off as an extreme measure, but Flip Saunders believes it is a sign of just how much Wall is willing to literally pay the price to be great.

I read a story w/in the last week saying Wall ASKED to be fined whenever he pouted. This isn't punishment, or newsworthy.

didn't look slowed last night. He was blazing! if he puts in the work, he has more upside than Rose or CP3. Too much speed.

Wall asked his coach to fine him if he ever pouted cause he wants to stop being that way....That said JUST STOP ITS NOT HARD!

Uhhhh.....more upside then rose? Rose is only 22 & an MVP candidate in his 3rd season. He is a worker...not a complainer. Wall will never be as good as rose.

i almost fell out my chair when i read that guy's comment...Poohdini is the MAN! still can't believe people thought beasley was the better draft pick...the guy is a sf not a power forward...anyway Derrick Rose is the man...lol

QUOTE(#20):

Regardless of if Paul or Rose are better PGs. They're no DWill!

i would put those 3 in this order...Deron williams in 1st place and rose and CP3 in a second place tie...paul is good but Rose is not even in his prime yet and he's already a superstar...DW always looks so smooth on the court...you have to love how he plays....you give him the shot he'll drain it but if you play the shot he'll take it to the hole no problem...people always get mad when i say deron williams is a better overall player/pg than cp3
