08:21 AM ET 01.24 | Texas president Nolan Ryan has the Rangers penciled in for as many as 95 wins in 2011. Ryan shared his thoughts, including his prediction, on the team with a large group of fans at the Rangers' Fan Fest on Saturday at Arlington Convention Center. "I think we're a better ballclub now than we were this time last year," Ryan told ESPNDallas.com after talking with fans in a Q&A session. "We have more experience and a better overall club with the additions we've made this offseason and the young pitchers we have coming back." Last year, Ryan predicted the Rangers would win 92 games, coming to that conclusion in the middle of spring training. This year he's given the club more of a window, but believes its win total can be higher than the 90 it put up in 2010.

90+ may be a stretch...but with their offense I can still see them being over .500 if their pitching hold up or improves during the season

hit the nail on the head with the last comment ... pitching ... and yes I believe in their young pitchers, but they need a couple of strong veterans in there and one of them needs to be a starter that can be relied upon ... and hopefully, injury free ...

Funny how Nolan Ryan talks about the additions bet not the subtractions. Dude you have to look at the whole equation.

Are they better now than they were at this time last year? Hell yeah! First base is not a black hole. Better defense at 3rd base, CJ Wilson is not a mystery, Colby Lewis showed he has something to offer and the closer's role is secure.
