08:04 AM ET 01.25 | Chad Clifton has until Friday before the Packers practice, and he believes he'll be ready to go. Clifton was doing about as well as expected Monday after playing more than a half of football with a neck stinger. ... Injured in the first quarter after fullback John Kuhn's knee hit his helmet, Clifton didn't return until there was about seven minutes left in the second quarter. He underwent ultrasound and massage treatment in the locker room before the numbness in his shoulder and arm subsided. On Monday, Clifton said he didn't expect to miss any practice time before the Super Bowl. He didn't deny that he was still feeling the effects of the injury, however. "It's pretty sore today," he said. "It's a little stiff. But it's something that I've played with before."

This is why the Lombardi game needs the 2 week break.Personally i hate the gap but this guys situation reflects why we need the 2 weeks of over hype before the game.

Seriously? All the way over here in this thread? A columnist for a competing publication put it best. "When it comes down to it, Cutler is picked on because he is not well-liked. If that sounds like junior high, well, welcome to American society."

And, more specifically, welcome to the Society of Football Fans.

Playing with a neck stinger is a lot different than playing with

A car salesman in suburban Chicago has been fired for refusing to remove a Green Bay Packers tie that he wore to work the day after the Packers beat the Chicago Bears to advance to the Super Bowl.

Wow...That's as cold as the Chicago winter!

January 25, 2011  03:51 PM ET

Since he came back into the game....how's this a story?
I guess the media needs to fill the void until the big game.

In related news: The car salesman, after being warned that he would be fired if he did not remove his tie refused to QUIT in the middle of his workday, which was the REAL reason he was fired.
