08:45 AM ET 01.25 | Based on player rankings, Rick Neuheisel is facing long odds on returning UCLA to prominence with his upcoming class. UCLA, with Aaron Wallace Jr., has a single commitment from a player ranked among the top 100 incoming prospects in California. ... Forget competing with other Pac-10 schools: USC has commitments from seven of the state's top 10; Cal has commitments from five of California's top 25 alone; Washington has 10 from the full 100; Oregon has five; Stanford and Oregon State have four apiece; and Arizona State has three despite being behind the curve. Outside of the conference, mid-major interlopers Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State, SMU and Utah all have multiple commitments from California players ranked higher than Wallace.

The sky is falling!!!!

Not.

Guess this answers the question about how long it will take Utah to become a contender in the PAC. Of course, the comparison to UCLA doesn't say much.

1 Player from the top 100 in California? I honestly think I could do better recruiting than that. That's terrible.

RN is back to assuming the position too!

January 25, 2011  09:23 AM ET

I see FN brought back that same photo of #83 giving it to Rick!!:-)

He is out of his league. He should take an assistant coaching job somewhere and be happy.

UCLA == Epic Fail

If you want a better representation of what he's done to the program, he needs to switch places with 83.

Ricky could use a Chickillo-type player to help improve their recruiting class. It's working for Miami.

Maybe, he should have fired his recruiting coordinator instead of Chow!

I'll go you one better WPS. If you count the Norm Chow threads this is like 5 UCLA football threads in 6 days. Since when has so much cyber space been taken up by a last place football team???

Okay guys insert your Notre Dame digs here_______.

Does #83 have a ****?

Maybe UCLA can transfer to the WAC or MAC, might help with their win/loss ratio?

Not a bad idea - but steer clear of the WAC (rumor has it Utah State is about to be invited to the MWC). If that happens, the WAC could be ruined beyond repair.

UCLA is a complete, pathetic embarrassment to Los Angeles.....
