Knicks eyeing Przybilla, Gasol

08:07 AM ET 01.26 | The Knicks may be focused on adding a big man, but they're not alone in the East. The Knicks' main competition for a big man is said to be Orlando, which traded reserve center Marcin Gortat last month to the Suns in the deal that brought Hedo Turkoglu to the Magic. ... Among big men, the Knicks reportedly have talked about Portland's Joel Przybilla and Memphis' Marc Gasol. However, they have concerns about Przybilla's health and whether he'd be a good fit in their offense. With Marcus Camby out for at least a month following knee surgery, Przybilla is starting now and perhaps will be able to allay some concerns that he has not fully recovered from a severe knee injury.

When the Knicks called Memphis and asked about Gasol all they heard was a phone drop and uncontrollable laughter in the background!!!!

Which exactly why the Grizzlies suck.

Uh ok...Bc they should trade Gasol for Chandler or Galo? They already have tons of sg and SF type of guys....Look the Knicks are no way going to get Gasol....Its nothing against the Knicks it just that Gasol is a top 5 center in the league and a pretty good player and the Grizz are rebuilding something....They will make the playoffs this year...

And they are two games worse than the Knicks AND their strength of schedule has been tougher so far this season....So I wouldnt say the Knicks are head and shoulders above them...They are BOTH rebuilding and need to both keep all the quality pieces they have...

Thank you...I like memphis...they have a solid team..not yet ready to contend just yet but they have some good young pieces to build around.....

No. Because they have no idea that they're going nowhere fast. Some teams have improved and are moving forward, while some improve en route to regression. The Memphis Grizzlies are the latter. I don't say they should trade away their center for just any deal that comes down the road, but then again when you have no plan, what would it matter if you did?

How have they NO plan....They traded for Randolph and Gasol...They drafted Rudy, Conely, and Mayo....Id say they have a plan and its starting to work out for them...They have improved over last year and the year before..They are rebuilding just like the Knicks began 3 seasons ago....

I always thought highly of Pryzbilla and by that I mean he's a nice complimentary piece (when healthy).

And Im sure they will keep Gasol and prob give Randolph a nice contract bc he has been HUGE for them and the other guys development...Who would have ever thought that...LOL

I just think they need to stick to the plan they have had...They could even trade Mayo or Thabeet to some one for some more help...Not saying Thabeet is any good but hell Kwame is still in the league and has been traded a few times...
