08:30 AM ET 01.26 | Roy Williams, who blasted critics on his last weekly radio appearance, struck a conciliatory tone this week. Williams says he should not have criticized his radio show callers last week who phoned in to criticize his team. "I wish I had not said one word," Williams said during this week's radio show on Monday night, according to a transcript posted by Insidecarolina.com. ... "Do I wish that I would have just let it go and not said a word? You're darn right I do. I wish I had not said one word. I wish that I would have just kept swallowing it. I hate that I said that. What I hate even more is that I categorized people when I said 'fans,' because our fans don't upset me. My gosh, the fans in the Smith Center this year have been unbelievable."

Buckeyes are #1 baby!

Problem is, he's 100% right. Tar Heel fans are extremely fickle. Having attended every home game for 4 years back in the Doherty era (argh!), I can tell you as soon as we went down, the crowd would be out of it. Granted, they'd bounce right back once a comeback was imminent, but still, very, very fickle.

LOL, Docmadlab and his INSANE laughter posts!! It wouldn't be T & R without them.

They looked good again last night. Perdue should've stayed home.

Can't help myself Doc. This team is loaded. Problem might be they are playing like this in January instead of March.

Pearl's apology was necessary. We'll see how much the NCAA cares about the apology, UT's self-imposed sanctions, and SEC sanctions.

Constantly shooting off his mouth without thinking. One day he'll be in real trouble.

QUOTE(#11):

As you know I am a Duke fan, but I must face reality. Without Kyrie, my Blue Devils would be in serious trouble against these Buckeyes. Furthermore, even with him they would have their work seriously cut out for them.I still say that ranking is meaningless in college basketball due to the pure meritocracy of the system, but with that said, I haven't seen too many teams that have a real chance against Ohio State if they keep playing like this. Congratulations. You deserve it.

I cannot recall a more impressive start for a freshman than Kyrie. He single-handedly took Michigan St apart. Played with the poise of a senior and the pure athleticism of a 5* stud. You need him back and healthy. What is the prognosis? If I remember they were saying 4-6 weeks, which would put him back in February just in time to get in shape for the "run" to March madness.

Roy's an effin crybaby whiner with a tendency to choke, two titles not withstanding. These are known facts.

He wants all of the accolades when he wins, but no criticism when his teams aren't up to snuff.

He's actually a woman.

Good point...

... also, they rely on one key freshman for sure (Salinger).

You never know how they will respond in March.

Not every freshman can be the Fab Five or Carmelo.

I disagree...

... there are 3 big east teams that I view as more than capable (Syracuse, Pitt, UConn), as well as San Diego State, and the Washington Huskies.

No offense to Ohio State, but, it always is funny to me how some folks get so enamored with a team and start thinking juggernaut.

The Buckeyes are a good team and having a nice run.

However, keep it in perspective.
