Fisher's replacement in Tennessee?

08:11 AM ET 01.28 | Jeff Fisher is out, but who's in? Indications are longtime Titans offensive line coach Mike Munchak is the favorite to replace Fisher, although a coaching search is expected to begin immediately. ... While Munchak is the favorite, the Titans will have to conduct a coaching search to satisfy the NFL's Rooney Rule, which mandates minority coaches receive interviews. Munchak, a former Houston Oilers guard who is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, has been the offensive line coach for the past 14 seasons. He recently signed a three-year contract, but if hired he would get a new deal. Assistant head coach/linebackers Dave McGinnis, who was Arizona Cardinals head coach from 2000-03, could also get consideration.

Mangini... ok, had my laugh for the day.

No real suprise here. Fisher will have lots of offers. I think he was pretty burnt out on the situation there.

Cower, that sounds plausible.

Billy Ray Cyrus?

January 28, 2011  08:22 AM ET

Mike Munchak or Perry Fewell or Russ Grimm. As a Titans fan, I could live with those hires.

Not this year. With a lockout looming, I think he'll wait until the CBA is set.

January 28, 2011  08:23 AM ET

Does this mean there is a chance that they will keep Vince Young?

You can find him on "the high road". I think that's in the UFL.

While I think Fisher is a good coach, he is not a great one. Look at his overall body of work and what has he accomplished in the post-season since the Super Bowl run in 1999? He's 2-5 and hasn't won a Playoff game since 2003.

Mike Muchak and Vince Young will be the QB. Good luck coach Fisher. We **** it up royally.

If $$$ is an issue, look for them to hire an assistant coach. They can be hired for cheap.

Yeah, Favre's going to be his Q.B. next year.
