08:12 AM ET 01.28 | Bernie Kosar is in Mobile, Ala., but not expressly for the Senior Bowl. The former Browns quarterback is sending a message that he's open to working for an NFL team next season. He's has been talking to the likes of Baltimore Ravens president Ozzie Newsome and New England coach Bill Belichick. Some of it is social. But some of it may lead to a job for Kosar. A report from Boston said Kosar was looking for a coaching job, perhaps on Belichick's staff.

Kosar was my fav QB back in the day. However, something appears to be neurologically wrong with him or he's a hopeless alcoholic. Somethin' just ain't right with that boy.

January 28, 2011  08:16 AM ET

Eh...good luck Bernie.

January 28, 2011  08:25 AM ET

Remember Drew Carey's Kosar impression?

The guy knows a little something about playing qb but has he pickled his brain to much with the bottle to be a coach?

January 28, 2011  08:42 AM ET

Ravens just canned Zorn, so maybe.

Yeah this...

If you have to solicit for a NFL job, you're probably not going to get one.

January 28, 2011  08:48 AM ET

He's "open" to working for an NFL team?

The Hoodie probably isn't even aware of this guy's existence. I think Kosar was selling shoes at Payless the other day.

And it was reported that when Wes Welker heard the news, it surprised him so much that it knocked him off his feet.

hahahaha - good one

Interesting in that Belichick, as Browns coach, uncermoniously released Kosar back in 93, royally pissing off Browns fans.

Go back to Ohio dude. That's the only place for you. I can still remember that goofy stance under center. Looked like you were trying to get a head start running to the sideline.
