09:09 AM ET 01.28 | Liverpool striker Fernando Torres is potentially interested in a move to Chelsea following their British record $63 million bid for him. Chelsea's approach was rejected by Anfield bosses, but sources in Spain claim the striker has told Liverpool to negotiate with the champions.

Drogba is not getting younger.

63 mil seems about right for a bid from Chelsea.

Torres will be a hero if he stays - but I fear he'll bolt. Too bad for Pool.

Like rats scurrying off a sinking boat....

Isn't 63 mil a bit much for Torres? I would think the businessman in Henry would take that deal in a heartbeat.

Honestly, it is too much for him, but at his fair market value, this wouldn't actually be a bad deal. The big question would of course be, will he ever recover from his injuries fully/find his form.

Bayern, check out the message from inter.it on the Knasmullner deal. note the italicized part was made by Inter, not me. Our clubs are besties!

"MILAN ??? The work of the Inter club officials proceeds successfully, as they continue to enroll some of the most promising talents of international football to Nerazzurri club.

Christoph Knasmullner, Austrian, born on 30 April 1992, has been signed on a permanent deal and the relevant contracts have already been presented to the Lega Serie A for the player's registration. The player arrives from F.C. Bayern Munich, which F.C. Internazionale would like to wholeheartedly thank for their collaboration in the deal, confirming the excellent relationship between two of the biggest clubs in the world of football.

The midfielder made a name for himself in the Bayern youth system: first with the under-17 side and then with the club???s second team (10 appearances in the German third division). He has already won some international caps with the Austrian under-17s, with which he played in the European Championships, the under-19 and the under-20 national sides.

Knasmullner has signed a four and a half year contract with Inter, which will keep him at the club until 30 June 2015."

I've been reading that Michael Bradley is on his way out of Germany.

To Galataseray...

I'd link it- but I read it on a link from Facebook on my phone...

I thought Turkey is where players went to kill their career?

January 28, 2011  10:04 AM ET

I don't know if it's because my vision is as good as Jay Demerits's but I am still not sure if am able to find ESPN3 or not. Do you mean ESPNews? Is that the same thing? That one appears after ESPN2 so that must be it, I guess ESPN3 is shorthand for ESPNews, because it was the next channel after ESPN2. Makes sense, I finally got it. Yeah ESPN3 is pretty awesome, it's in HD. Weird though, verizon must be milabeling things again because all I see on there are news and no soccer games. Typical Verizon.

exactly. Bradley could do better than that.

Yup. Suarez and 2-3 others could be brought in. Tough decision for the Scousers.
I'm no 'Pool fan, but if they want to get back to the Pinnacle - I'd keep Torres and have him be a part of it. I still believe he is (can be again really) one of the 3 best pure strikers in the world - Drogba and Eto'o being the others.

I always saw Bradley winding up on a mid-table EPL team.

Don't know the terms of the transfer. Perhaps this will only be until his contract expires- which I'm not sure when that is.

For a guy who seems to be eternally injured- 63MM is nothing to sneeze at, especially when you consider the economic troubles the club has gone through the last few years.

If I were 'Pool- I'd take the money and move on. You can buy a lot of quality with 63MM.

You're absolutely correct. Tough call. I think I like Torres' potential (knowing he might become a taller Spanish Michael Owen who falls off quickly) more than most.

I'm seeing he may also be linked to Palermo as well who I'd much rather he play for.
