Phillies interested in reliever

Never heard of the guy

The bullpen is certainly the weakest part of their pitching staff. If they shore that up, they're going to be reallly tough to beat.

It'd be nice if the Phillies were chasing the Jason Grilli in the photo, rather than the real Jason Grilli.

There is no known photo of Jason Grilli.

Too bad - once they realize their error, I guess it's back to chasin' Sidd Fitch again.

So, if he signs with Philadelphia, he would be Grilli the Phillie?

The Phillies answer is to have the starters pitch 8-9 innings. Also, they're counting on basket case Lidge to come through big time next year. It's the baseball version of pull and pray.

Methinks you are right. Philly has a nice rotation, but... I remember a few years back, after the Miguel Cabrera trade, when the experts projected the Detroit Tigers would set MLB records for scoring runs. How did that end?
