Inside Bengals' plans to pacify Palmer

09:24 AM ET 01.30 | Carson Palmer's dissatisfaction with the Bengals is a one way street. In fact, the team is taking Palmer off the hook for performing below expectations in 2010. People at Paul Brown Stadium tell me they believe the team didn't give Palmer the best chance to succeed last year because of what they surrounded Palmer with. If they keep Palmer - and they want to pacify him and make it work - they will try to rectify the situation by making sure the locker room understands that Palmer is the only leader. They also plan to give him a chance to hit more downfield throws.

If your QB wants out you might as well let him go. You can't run a team like that. He is going to have to give up that big contract though.

Minnesota will pick the worst one for their team and than pat themselves on the back and start telling people their going to the super bowl.

Palmer also had a couple of very good games while both of those headaches were out with injuries.

The Bengals need to be blown up. Why did they rehire Marvin Lewis? Trade Palmer, fire Lewis, and start all over.
The main move that needs to be made is to fire the owners. Like Bill Bidwell in Arizona and Donald Sterling of the LA Clippers, the Browns' cheapness and interference is the root of the problem.

There were a few coaches who were expected to be fired who were retained. If there was no uncertainty over the new CBA and the potential of a lockout, Marvin Lewis, Jack Del Rio and Gary Kubiak would have cleaned out their desks a few weeks ago.
