08:23 AM ET 02.02 | Jimbo Fisher isn't a big man, but he's making a case as the biggest player in Florida recruiting. "You have to be persistent. You have to have the work ethic to develop relationships with kids and coaches. ... You have to be genuine and honest. You have to stick with it through all the ups and downs." For Florida State's football program, there have been mostly only ups since the King Fisher took over as coach last season. FSU won 10 games for the first time in seven seasons, beat Miami, routed Florida in Urban Meyer's last regular season game and defeated Steve Spurrier in a bowl game. And now comes National Signing Day when Fisher will likely haul in the No. 1 class at a program that is suddenly the most stable among the state's Big Three.

It will be interesting to see if Fisher can build on last seasons success.

Indeed. But they were pretty good last year.

They should be really good this year, the OK game should tell us something about both teams.

Agree...and the loser should not be significantly whacked by the nutty BCS just because they were willing to play a tough OOC opponent.

The Orlando Sentinel article is an interesting read. Nice insight into the old way vs. the new way of recruiting.

Well coach Jimbo let Aaron Lynch slip away to South Bend thank goodness. Did ya remember to bring a snow shovel Aaron, looks like you'll have to dig your way to class this morn,, its a good thing,, builds muscle ! GO IRISH ! ! !

Agreed. FSU is going to be very good IMO. Jimbo could have them back on top very soon.

That's a damn good point. FSU had a good year last season and should be good this year, but IMO before you are considered halfway decent you have to beat VT and win the ACC.

I guess Aaron did not like the Hurricanes the heat or the reclaimed water!

Hopefully they don't get Jernigan. The Vols could really use some great defensive tackles in this class.

Glad the Vols snatched Curt Maggitt out of the Sunshine State, though. Depth at LB will certainly help.

Jimbo's reviving the monster down there; if the QB can play - sounds like he can - then the 'Noles are gonna be a handful for everyone they play.
