Fisher staying, Phillips, Ruutu, Kovalev going?

Okay, seeing as they haven't posted the article yet (ya I know I could click on it but I'm too lazy) I've got a question that's been bothering me ever since I first saw this photo.

To the left of Cory's head is that a very large pair of manboobs in the black sweater or some lady with big hands wearing a man's watch? Either way it's creepy and you're welcome for the image. lol

But with regards to this story: they can pretend they are going to trade whomever they want. I highly doubt any team will take Kovalev. He's a bum and a cancer - you think its coincidence Montreal turned a corner the year after getting rid of him?

According to everyone, Phillips is headed out of town, so no story there, but really, at best, they get what? A 3rd rounder? Maybe a 2nd? Not a major rebuilding piece either way. Same will go for Ruutu.

I tell ya, if they're just going to keep essentially the same line up, they may as well hire Tony Robbins as a coach, because the motivation will be what this team needs if there is no real roster shake up.

Let's change this to something more interesting like the start of the Bruins - Stars game last night...I'd have to say the B's were 3 for 3 in the dust up department four seconds into the game.

On an O.T. Maria Schneider of 'The last Tango in Paris' died. She was 19 when she made that flick with Brando who was, well talk about a perv :)

And in keeping with my pervert tag....I can't believe it's not butter.

I could see Kovalev coming back to the Burgh to try to end his career on a high note. He seems to leave a stain wherever he plays but he was a bright spot on the team while it was crumbling.
Heck, get Ruutu back and have Cooke, Asham, and Ruutu all at once. Call it the NWA line.

In other breaking news, i just read the Deeps is out 4-6 weeks with facial fractures and knee swelling from getting one-punched by Johnson. Everyone who was making jokes about him having a glass jaw, well, it turns out you guys were spot on. I know injuries to players aren't a laughing matter, but seriously, if this guy gets hit with a stiff wind he's out for 6 games, its ridiculous.
