Or what the Senators winger is doing now is auditioning for a job as Sidney Crosby's linemate before the trade deadline. Asked if he has ruled out in his mind any chance of returning to Ottawa, Kovalev, who turns 38 this month, provided an interesting answer. "It's not up to me," he said. "I just love to play hockey..."

Shero has too much sense to pick up a guy like Kovalev. I loved him when he was a Penguin but that is many moons ago. Why do they need him anyway? The Pens lost the first game they were without both Sid and Geno, but then they reeled off five in a row. Last night they didn't start playing until Geno went down.

Are you insinuating that Canadians outside of the GTA are sick of the Leafs on CBC? Come on W2, the same guy at the CBC that thought the whole country would enjoy, "Anne of Green Gables, Road to Avonlea, Emily of New Moon, Pit Pony, and Wind at My Back", is giving us the Leafs.
