09:15 AM ET 02.05 | Charlie Davies hopes to convince team officials he is close enough to being the electrifying forward he was before the accident to deserve a slot on the roster and a place in the starting lineup. In his first full training session after arriving on a flight from Basel, Switzerland, on Wednesday, Davies generated somewhat lukewarm reviews - with United's coach and general manager cautioning it will take a full week for a complete evaluation.

Its only been a day or two. Based on Olsen's direct comments on DCU's website, he's holding up well just need more fitness.

Somebody other than Stephen Goff reports of football for the WaPo?

I really really hope that he can make a come back, just for the sake of a terrible story making way for some good.

What is frustrating is that his fitness is not up to speed, but supposedly he has been training and playing this whole time in France, right?

Is it jet-lag?

Let's hope so.

So I just saw that Dempsey scored for Fulham against Freidel, but is it true- did Michael Bradley not even make the bench today?

February 5, 2011  11:49 AM ET

And now I feel sick...

How the **** is it that I am reading Arsenal go 4-0 up in about 20 minutes, and then allow Newcastle to come back to tie it up with a few minutes left to play...

KRANJCAR!!!!!!!!!!!

'Arry, if this doesn't get you to start playing this guy then I don't know what will.

Haha, and Newcastle scores 4 in the second half to tie Arsenal! This is turning out to be a much better day then it first appeared.

Yeah, but he only had one day to practice with the team

Phil Dowd didn't have the greatest game today....

Crazy weekend in EPL so far. Talk about no defense. Did anyone catch Stoke/Sunderland this morning? Gordon got owned in the air. Hats off to Stoke for the comeback.

Leading scorer for Fulham, jigga what. And Bradley did not make the bench for Villa today. Which is sad because I think Agbonhlahor looked terrible last week. Not sure about today. But he's just coming back from a hamstring injury. Don't see how it could hurt to give Bradley (who is healthy) some pt over England's number one baby maker.

Every time I hear that guys name it sounds like someone who would be an anchor for Fox News.

This guy, by the way was just elected mayor of Columbus, Ohio and his platform for election was that he was the #1 baby maker in the town.

It was actually a pretty entertaining match considering the sides. Seems every goal Stoke scores is ugly, but Pennant's delivery was superb throughout. Delap's throws are just superhuman.

Just heard that before the later matches, there were 38 goals scored, which is a record for an entire day (36 was the previous record). Spurs v. Bolton could have easily had many more goals.

Yeah, I don't get what is going on. I know it is early, but maybe this isn't going to be the loan deal we all were hoping it would be. Hopefully things change.

Man U already up over Wolves....the goals continue....

Bayern leading 2-0 against relegation threatened Koln, and manages to lose 3-2. We can now officially say:

BAYERN STOPPED PLAYING
