Should Yankees tap into White Sox pitching?

08:21 AM ET 02.06 | It's hard to imagine Yankees GM Brian Cashman won't be trading for a starter between now and Opening Day, with scouts weighing the likes of Fausto Carmona, Joe Blanton and Scott Kazmir. The White Sox might want to remind Yankees types that they may have a surplus. Edwin Jackson certainly would buy time for the Yankees, and other than perhaps Fauston Carmona, seems like a higher-ceiling guy than others available. Gavin Floyd could deliver an up-and-down 200 innings. John Danks could wind up working as a No. 2 man behind CC Sabathia in the playoffs.

What do the Yankees have the the White Sox could use and use now? Being in the AL Central they should be in the hunt to win the division.

the yankees already have tapped into white sox pitching. they signed their left overs in colon and garcia.

If Kenny Williams trades and of the starters he would be crazy. Why spend as much as they did this off season just to trade valuable starting pitching? Trading Danks would be the worse thing he could do. Buehrle would make more sense.

Bullpen help is their glaring problem in my opinion, but it's not that detrimental of an issue at the moment. If the White Sox did nothing between now and the start of the season, I'd say they'd be set. Trading starting pitching is never good, especially with the staff the White Sox have. A definitive closer would be nice to have, but other than that, they don't really need anything. With their roster as it is now, the White Sox can make a run for and easily win their division.

Are the White Sox suddenly the Yankees farm system?

True, you don't want to trade starting pitching, especially when you have a guy or two with a history of injury problems. The Sox could always pick up someone once they've been released if it's a good fit.

The Yankees should tap into the White Sox's pitching, the Pittsburgh Pirates' pitching, even the Yomigura Carp's pitching, if it'll help. That rotation needs help desperately.

If Garcia was a fat tubbalubba that might mean something. We would at least have enough plumpers for an in-house "Biggest Loser" competition.

Do you just hover on this site looking or Atro's latest posts? Do you type with one hand while making your comments about him? I have yet to see you post something of value on here. Just give up and crawl back into your parents basement.

True. That would be prime time TV right there. What Cashman should look into would be Buehrle. It's his last year and knowing baseball players as of late, he'll be pitching his best baseball as contract year performances have shown recently. I doubt he signs with the Sox next year and would immediately boost the Yankee's rotation "depth."
