08:03 AM ET 02.08 | Yes, Ken Whisenhunt has talked to Larry Fitzgerald about the Cardinals' quarterback options in 2011, but he doesn't want anyone reading too much into it. "We solicit input from players on a lot of things, game plans, plays, travel to the East Coast. Things in training camp. When I was interviewed (in 2007), they had players who were a portion of the interviews. Larry and I talked about a number of things. I've talked to other players as well." ... "Larry is obviously not making the decisions," Whisenhunt said. "There's a lot of things that guys want that they don't necessarily get. That's why I have individual meetings with them to get their ideas."

He should value Fitzgerald's opinion, as he is. Gotta keep your stars happy.

Of course he's not the head coach.

Larry: Coach - our QB's suck.

Coach: I know, Larry but our crappy owner won't pay for a good one.

Owner: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hey, Cards. You need to rebuild. You're going to suck for a lot of years if you don't start right now, and forget about being a contender for a few years.

The Patriots have more draft picks than they can use. The Cards have a premier wide receiver who deserves a shot at a ring, and he has no quarterback to get him the ball, anyway, so what good is he to Arizona? It's a match made in Heaven.

Mornin' Otis.

This has me wondering what's really left in Arizona aside from Larry. I mean, not that they SHOULDN'T build everything around Anderson in order to prepare for the future.

That was a joke and a bad one at that.

The decision that sank this franchise has already been made. Warner decided to retire.

I've never heard of a team building around a receiver.

It's OK, really. We don't want their house, or their wives, or their ox. And the Commandment doesn't say squat about wide receivers.

Well they did try to build around a QB before, but it didn't work too well. Building around Fritz can't be any worse.

That would kill the already dwindling Cardinal fan base -trading their franchise player and face of the organization. But yes I'd give up our plethora of draft picks to see Fitz in a Pats' jersey

There is some precedent of this working for the team giving up the player. Once upon a time Hershel Walker wore a star on his helmet. The difference is that Fitz will be an impact player for the Pats where Walker fell short.
