Young to save Angles offseason?

08:16 AM ET 02.08 | The Angels are reportedly believed to be among the eight teams to which Michael Young would accept a deal. Young, who starred at La Puente Bishop Amat High and UC Santa Barbara, would be a nice fit on an Angels team that got virtually no production from the third-base spot last season and whiffed in its winter attempts to acquire free-agent third baseman Adrian Beltre, who signed with the Rangers. Young, whose limited no-trade clause allows him to block deals to all but eight teams, hit .284 with 21 home runs, 36 doubles and 91 runs batted in to help the Rangers reach the World Series last season, and he has averaged 185 hits a year during his 10-year career.

hmmm ... a story about Michael Young with a side mention of Beltre' and whose picture do they put up?

and really two stories about Michael Young? .... desperate times TnR?

February 8, 2011  10:02 AM ET

That seems like a good fit, if they don't mind a few more errors from that position.

February 8, 2011  10:23 AM ET

Wow TnR can't even get the headline right? Bad enough there are to Michael Young stories.

February 8, 2011  10:24 AM ET

<two. Too bad even I can't get the spelling right.

the angels are licking their chops to get this guy....he can still flat out hit!

February 8, 2011  12:20 PM ET

Who the hell is the Angles?

February 8, 2011  12:21 PM ET

How about Brandon Wood, $10 million, and a picture of Arte Moreno shirtless?

February 8, 2011  02:43 PM ET

He won't be dealt in the same division, especially the Angels, or Angles...whatever you want to call that team.

February 8, 2011  03:11 PM ET

I've like nearly all of Daniels moves. Making this one would be plain stupid, about like signing Beltre to $96Mil.

Yes he did. Once you include all of the years he played up to 43 years old.
