08:18 AM ET 02.08 | Right-hander Chad Durbin reportedly has offers. But after making the playoffs three straight years with the Phillies, Durbin wants to continue playing for a competitive team. His offers thus far are from projected non-contenders, according to major league sources. Durbin, 33, is holding out for a club with a better chance to reach the postseason, and two or three such teams are showing interest, sources say. The Rays are the most notable contender still looking for bullpen help, but their interest in Durbin is not known. The Marlins, Brewers and Twins are among the other contenders that may want to add another reliever.

Pitchers and Catchers are reporting in what? a week? He'd better get his agent off the pot

Durbin had a nice year last year, although his walks/hits per innings pitched was a little north of the comfort zone. Whay isn't St. Louis interested? Seems like a good match to me.

A couple of good years left in that arm. He needs to take his talents to a contender if he can. His clock is ticking...

He may be waiting a while...journeyman, nothing more.

michael young, like to be trade to another team if he doesn't get field playing time, though he still signed through 2013, at this point the rangers would like to sign him for two more years, which it shouldn't be a problem!

perhaps pujols, most likely will be free agent next year, and his price tag will be one untouchable contract to handle, if the cards are wise enough, they should sign him for 5 years/32 millions each year, ten years its just to long and there is nothing sure about his health till then

In 1.1 playoff innings in 2010, Durbin gave up 2 runs..In the 2009 playoffs, Durbin pitched 5.1 inning and gave up 4 runs. He might want to pitch in the playoffs, but I don't know what team wants him to pitch for them in the playoffs.

Well Put...

Before Mr. Durbin was a Philly (and got into thinking he was valuable), he went thru Cleveland, Detroit and KC...

With the Clock Ticking, he better make sure that's not all that's left for him...

I also hear Toronto is nice in the summer...

Only the Reds, Phillies and Rockies scored more runs than the Brewers did in the NL last year. The problem with the Brewers was only the Pirates and Diamondbacks gave up more runs than they did in the NL last year. GM Doug Melvin has made significant upgrades to their pitching rotation by trading for Shaun Marcum and Zach Greinke.

With a top-of-the-league offense and a much improved pitching rotation, yes, the Brewers are contenders.

Twins could use a good lefty arm outta the bullpen.
