08:10 AM ET 02.09 | After fracturing his left foot last summer while practicing with the French national team, Roddy Beaubois participated in his first full practice with the Mavericks on Tuesday. He will not play in this week's three-game road trip to Sacramento, Denver and Houston, but there is a possibility he could be ready Feb. 16, when the Mavs host the Kings. ... "Roddy looked good. Roddy is about as quick as ever," guard Jason Terry said. "That's the thing that [separates] him from other guards in this league is his speed and quickness. Add to the fact that he can shoot the ball with the best of them, [and] he's going to be a force, he's going to be a presence for us."

How do you know he is "not any good"?

I think the guy does have some game and can become the next Parker with a 3 point shoot...

Well it is from the Dallas Morning News and they have been waiting all season for the guy to get healthy and it looks like he is almost there....But he is no Terry Neal or John Anderson....

February 9, 2011  08:47 AM ET

The real issue is what are the Mavs going to do with Caron Butler and his expiring contract?

I agree...I think he could develop into a 16-20 point scorer in the league if healthy and given the minutes....

I think they are going to end up keeping him and resigning him in the off season....They really liked what the guy brought not only on the court but in the locker room as well....Thats all everyone talks about on that team is how great of teammate he is.

He wont be that type of player, injuries are going to be a factor... he will start to slow down and wont be the same if he keeps getting injuried.
