08:24 AM ET 02.10 | From one U of M to another, Tate Forcier is headed to Miami. While Forcier told the Free Press Wednesday afternoon that U-M athletic director Dave Brandon refused to meet with him to be readmitted to the football program and the university, that was only part of the story. Brandon relayed his version of the events later Wednesday, through U-M assistant athletic director Dave Ablauf. Forcier apparently tried to meet with Brandon at a time that Brandon was not available so Brandon asked to reschedule. The Forciers even met with assistant athletic director Brian Townsend in person, and Townsend relayed the message but the Forciers never pursued another meeting.

Little Man Tate appears confused... maybe the Forcier family took Brandon not being available as a lack of interest (which it was). When a kid is not a starter (and not likely to be) and becomes academically ineligible, a school loses interest quickly. He's got 2 years left to play beginning the year after next, but Ohio State will never see him again as our H & H with Miami end this year. The next two years it is Cal.

I know the U had QB issues this year, but what makes poor little tater think he will get ample playing time there in the future? Or should I say poor little tater's parents.

Note the article says "the Forciers" as in Team Forcier. Sounds like mom and dad wanted a parent/teacher conference with little tater and couldn't get satisfaction.

Forcier tried to meet with Brandon but Brandon was not available ... Brandon asked to reschedule ... the Forciers met with Townsend who relayed a message to Brandon but ...

Maybe they should have just texted each other.

Why is this a story?

True...he will not be playing for them, but he gets to see first hand the Buckeye's beat another team he is a part of.

Please spare me the gossip on a backup QB of an average team.

Yeah. Instead of the old "he said she said" this is "he tried to say she tried to say". Yawn.

Mrs. Forcier to Coach Golden:
"Will all the moms be taking turns bringing snacks and juice boxes for after the games?"
Coach Golden: "If that's what you'd like I can send out the memo."
Mrs. Forcier: "Excellent, well, gotta go, lots of shopping to do!"

I said for a couple of years that they needed to get rid of him. Now, he went and did it on his own.

I doubt we'll hear Michigan "cut" him, though, because hey, people sometimes transfer on their own.
