Silva says he's a starter, many disagree

I don't see how he isn't a 4th or 5th this upcoming season. He had a great start last year then had a heart problem, which I'm assuming is fixed. Considering what he's making, he should definitely be utilized after the three mentioned above.

He should probably sign him to a longer contract next time, though. Give him time to get comfortable that way.

Wasn't Silva the best pitcher on the staff last year? I hope the first of puzzling moves for ole Quaid-ludes. Well, hiring him was puzzling enough. First Girardi and Ryno. Why do I root for a bunch of losers?

the cubs, shoul throw in the mix, silva, itsn't like it will be any deference this spring trainning, though we still have to see how well its silva health!!!

now, i know very well that billy wagner, has retire, but rumors are revolting around the baseball news, that wagner still thinking about playing this 2011 season, if that's truth, i would like the angels try their luck with this talented player, at the same time it could be very helpful for the new prospects on the angels bullpen!!

Because you live in America, the Cubs are our version of self-flagellation.

He could be an average to slightly below average 5th starter in the NL. He would never make it as a 5th starter in the AL though.

The Cubs have bigger problems than having Silva in their rotation, which in itself is startling. Their outfield isn't as good as the Pirates. How can Chicago contend with that group?

could the cubs shop around the asian baseball clubs, perhaps they get lucky and find a well develope young pitcher,or try venesuela, dominic republic, has very good players!!!
