Ireland presented with draft dilemma

08:05 AM ET 02.18 | Best available or -- in the case of Cam Newton, Blaine Gabbert, A.J. Green or Julio Jones -- the most dynamic: That may be the question for Jeff Ireland in Miami. Owner Stephen Ross wants someone that will bring glitz and glamour and put butts in the seats. And the best player on the board might be someone that does neither but could still be the best available player on the Miami board. Or the best option in Ireland's opinion. ... Would he go away from doing the popular thing that will get him applause from folks at the Dolphins draft party at the expense going with the highest-rated guy on his board that perhaps plays a position that excites no one and could get him roasted publicly?

I wouldn't want to play in Miami.

Pick the best player... that usually works.

How about bring in someone who can WIN??? It worked for us...

Watch a few eps of Dexter and you'll feel better in the morning.

I've never been to Ireland, but I hear it is very drafty.

But it doesn't hurt, either.

AJ Green better not fall to you- and the best way to bring the fans is do something called winning.

February 18, 2011  09:40 AM ET

News flash Mr. Ireland-Put a winning product on the field and you will have butts in the seats!

Stephen Ross should let his football people make the draft decisions. Applause at the draft day party last a few seconds. A poorly-drafted team's crappy season lasts 16 weeks.

February 18, 2011  11:04 AM ET

Ireland is a tool. He has very little football knowledge. Is lost without the Big Tuna around.

The Dolphins have the 15th pick in the draft. Cam won't be there when the Dolphins pick. If the Bills don't take him then he'll go the Redskins. AJ Green probably won't be there either. Blaine Gabbert is the #1 QB in the draft so there's no chance he'll be there. Julio Jones will be there though. As risky as that pick is, Julio has some real potential. He's had a tough year this year but I think Julio Jones could be a good NFL WR.

I hear the ladies are insane there.

Mark Ingram will be there, why not take him? Dolphins are pretty set at WR with Brandon Marshall, Davone Bess and Brian Hartline. Sure, they could use some depth, but they can address that in the later rounds.

How much did you win? One lousy SB given to you by a lousy QB called Grossman. Subject closed. Manning is old enough to go on Social Security and Medicare.

Who is that? Lots of peole thought that leaf, Couch and smith are teh best players. It did not work.

Jones should not fall past St Louis. Newton could go as high as 3 to Buffalo or as low to 12 to Minnesota. Green is not falling past Cleveland. Dolphins need a running game and Ingram fits the bill.
