10:25 AM ET 02.19 | The Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls are both targeting Cleveland Cavaliers swingman Anthony Parker for a possible trade before the Feb. 24 deadline, ESPN.com reports. The Celtics have been dealing with numerous injuries to their reserves all season. Boston likely sees Parker as a player who can step into the role that has been filled by Marquis Daniels, who is out indefinitely with a spinal cord injury.

QUOTE(#3):

Boston needs him more then Chicago. Brewer and Deng are doing pretty good w/ Chicago. They are already gelling well together w/ the team. I'm not sure if Parker is a good pick up for Boston either. Parker is just a jump shooter while Daniels was a low post and mid-range player...

I watched Parker while he was in Toronto and he is a really good fit for Boston. Yes he is a jump shooter but he can come off screens and create his own shot. He is a plus defender who can take some of the defensive burden off of Pierce. Pierce is a good post player and mid-range shooter with Parker they have another option on the perimeter for Rondo to find. I think he's a great fit and the price tag for him won't be too high for the Celts

Celtics would have to give up Erden or Bradley and maybe a draft pick as well to get him. If Daniels is going to be back in a month, I would just wait. The Celtics are already too old to be trading away what little youth they have

I don't care. Just give us a first rounder and you can have him & Mo.

The Celtics should take a look at Sasha Pavlovic. Although Parker is a nice complimentary player, Pavlovic is younger, longer, and more athletic. Pavlovic is a two-position player that also provides shooting, defense, and playoff experience. And he can play next to any wingman or guard that they already have.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Celtics get him. We can't give up a player though. They're so depleted that if they want Anthony Parker then they're gonna have to give up a 1st round pick.
