10:44 AM ET 02.19 | There are no guarantees franchise tags are going to stick to the new CBA's wall, but chances are they will. If Vincent Jackson signs the tender, he'll make $10 million or so this year, which is about a $10 million raise. As for a long-term deal, Chargers GM A.J. Smith prefers to wait and see how Jackson, who can't afford another slip after getting hit with two DUIs, performs on and off the lawn.

Maybe they can insist he trade in his sports car for a moped.

There's a lot of teams that could use a 6'5 240lb receiver.

And the dismantling of what was a pretty good football team continues.

A.J. Smith is a POS!

The Jetsies will!

AJ Smith continues to wait for a lot of things...none of which have happened in his tenure.

Oh so expect another non-playoff year in San Diego. Jets won't get Jackson. They can't even resign Cromartie & Edwards. Forget about getting Holmes and Jackson together. No chance that could ever happen.

If AJ and Norv can't win next season (whenever that is), maybe the Chargers ownership will finally cut loose the dead weight at the top of the Chargers' food chain.

AJ must figure why extend his Jackson when he can't even extend his Johnson.

They are following Denver and Cleveland foot step. They kicked Breeze out like he was a piece of She-it he got his ring which alluded sandiego for decades and probably they will never see one in Sandiego.
