10:32 AM ET 02.20 | National Basketball Association Commissioner David Stern acknowledged Saturday that the Sacramento Kings and Anaheim officials have held talks about a potential team move, but said he doesn't know the status of the talks. Stern said the league, meanwhile, is taking a hands-off stance as Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson continues his effort to get a new sports and entertainment arena built downtown for the Kings and other events.

Do Not Get it! ... the Maloofs have Money to build Casino in Vegas .... but, need a hand out to for a new place to Play in Sacr ...
It can of like the BUCKS .... owner Sen. Herb Kohl, gave UW $25m to help build the Kohl Center in Madison .... but, has not offer to help pay for a new place for the BUCKS to play, the BC from 1988 ...

While I can understand the desire to stay in CA, Anaheim just doesn't seem to be a smart idea. Of one thing, the Kings would be fighting with the Clippers to be the distant 2nd place team in LA after the Lakers! KC, with it's new arena and desire for a major winter sports team, would be a much more welcoming choice.

Sadly, it's the mind set of practically every owner in sports today: Why build a new stadium/arena, when you can blackmail the city/county/state into doing it for you?

Don't like the idea! I'm already to the liking of moving the Clippers back to San Diego. Now the Kings! How about Las Vegas.....or Seattle.....or Kansas City?
