Prokhorov: 'Tactical decision' drove Melo's price

NY how as 6 days to cut the offer to Denver for MELO ....

In other words, the Denver Nuggets played NJ like a fiddle to drive up the price. Didn't this guy say he was out for the race last month? And then he got sucked right back in.

One more thought, when your 17-40 and almost dead last in your division what difference does driving up the cost for Anthony make?

the knicks had to come off more than chandler and curry...which was there initial offer but once the nets got in play ...they giving up everything but the kitchen sink...so the nets owner was so right...it worked......he can tell everyone..

except with Dolan the driver behind NY there's no way he'll be the one not to blink and risk not getting Melo this year...Denver is in control right now and i expect Dolan to cave and give whatever they want

Yes, but read the whole Post .... Melo has not been traded to NY ...yet .... is if NY feels NJ Nets owner is Out of the MELO game again .... in the next 6 days, it can just lower the Offer ... it only worked if Denver GOT a better deal from NY for Melo ... which it has NOT ... could back fire by NY pulling players Out of the Deal and saying Take or Leave It to Denver

I'm starting to think new York is not getting melo lake show or more of a long shot da bulls or bust

Not really,,,,....depends on if you believe melo would sign with the nets and i do.....so either way its a win /win.....

Actually it's a good tactical move if "you really don't care" and know that the media will run with that idea that you really do. I for one actually believe Prokhorov when says he doesn't care. He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who's going to get punked by a player trying to milk the system. For all we know, he might be playing Denver and New York. Face the facts... You don't get to be a billionaire and not have the ability to think both tactically and strategically. With all the money and assets the Knicks will use up to get (and keep) Carmelo Anthony, any other player with Big Apple aspirations will have to look across the bridge. Good tactical move? I'm thinking so.
