08:13 AM ET 02.23 | Kobe Bryant was recently asked if he knew why the Lakers were struggling as they headed into the All-Star break. "Yep." Care to share any details? "Nope." Is it fixable? "Yep. Absolutely." Bryant does acknowledge concerns about the Lakers, though he obviously believes they can turn things around in time for a three-peat. "You're concerned because it's always a challenge," he said. "Every team goes through struggles. It's about figuring out that puzzle before the end of the season comes around, and before you get eliminated from the playoffs. That's the trick." ... But most aren't buying the Lakers Tales of Woe. Gregg Popovich still thinks they're the best team in the West (though Dallas is very close, he now thinks).

QUOTE(#1):

Simple really, strong and healthy Bynum = victory.

True, Lakers don't play to there strenght. I think its a ploy right now. How hard is it to go to Gasol and Bynum in the post and let them do damage. RIght now, S. Brown is taking a lot of shots at time.

"Gregg Popovich still thinks they're the best team in the west (though Dallas is very close, he now thinks)."So is Pop saying the Spurs are 3rd best?

Pop knows the truth. Spurs are good, Lakers are better

The ball-hogging **** clown won't 3-peat this season. The Fakers won't get out of the West because the Spurs will have the homecourt advantage in the Western Conference Finals. It will take a David Stern ref situation for Kome to get to the NBA Finals. It's time for a new champ.

Kobe knows how to fix them. His answer," I read these Fannation boards expecially my Laker Fans!" :)

The fix started yesterday...

Ho-hum -Last couple of years we hear the same thing and then all of a sudden they are in the play-offs, looking beatable and then lo and behold get into the finals.

Come on interns - Now that thankfully the Melo-Drama is over is this the best you can muster?

Sure the Lakers can fix things... maybe they can try looking like they give a ****. But I'm beginning to have my doubts. Everyone who thinks they're just killing time is dreaming.

KnicksNation would have gone into mourning had Melo turned down NY.

QUOTE(#12):

Totally disagre as he has never been healthy and theu have still won in spite of thatLA is bored, they have no reason to play full out til the playoffsKobe is a machine, a terminator .....HE is capable of playing hard all the time, the other guys aren't. Once the playoffs roll up, they will be fine

I think so you're saying that the Lakers aren't able to give 100% during the year??

This "they're bored" or "they will turn it up come the playoffs" angle might have been OK at the start of the season. But take away the 10 -0 start and the team suddenly doesn't look so good... 29-19 isn't the sign of a team that can just turn the jets on when they want to

February 23, 2011  09:10 AM ET

Complacency is the problem. Fixing it may be another problem altogether. In the past they've been able to turn it on when they needed to. They're still dangerous, but they're older now, and that may not be as easy as it once was.

LOL! Fix the lakers man that made my day.....
