Combine could push Miller to top five

08:09 AM ET 02.24 | Von Miller is already considered an early first-rounder, but his combine performance may vault him into the top five. Instead of a top 10 pick, we could be talking about the A&M linebacker as a top five player in this April's draft. We can all have opinions of the testing process in Indianapolis and what type of weight it carries in the overall draft process. But for players like Miller at the OLB position, the stopwatch is important. The NFL wants to see him run, change direction, show quickness in his lateral ability and explode out of his cuts on the field. The 40-yard dash, short shuttle and three-cone drill will be watched closely.

Yes, speculation based upon more speculation. Wake me up once the combine is over, the CBA is done and the draft is actually under way. Have a feeling I am going to be able to relate to Rip Van Winkle waiting for that to come to pass.

I watched a couple of A&M games last season. Guy has a good motor and closing speed. He'll go high.

He's a better Top 5 choice than any QB coming out.

Before we start making predictions, lets see him at the combine first.

before that i think we need a cba in place...with out that there is no nfl

He will go high, got that burst on the end that will have to be accounted for every week.

They want to also see how much fiber is in his diet!

Miller can flat play. We will take him in Tennessee. We need a linebacker...and a safety...cornerback...quarterback...general manager...owner...wide receiver...other than that we are a pretty damn good team.

You have more of a clue about the status of the Titans than Ol' Bud.

Not if the Bills get him first. We need a linebacker, and a safety, quarterback, wide receiver, defensive line, offensive line, GM, owner....but NOT a move to Toronto.

So you have Raideritis?

February 24, 2011  09:15 AM ET

He blew 'em out in the Senior Bowl, which was probably seen by more scouts than fans. But after that game it seemed everyone was drooling over him.

It is better for him to be drafted late by a contender. If he looking for a successful carrier. If he is looking for a quick bucks and failure it is his business.

Be careful, if Al bites Bud then he'll never go away unless you get a coach named Van Helsing.
