08:42 AM ET 02.26 | Owner Jerry Jones had a curious response Friday when asked if the Cowboys would release any players before next week's March 3 deadline. "No,'' he said. "No. "There could be one exception, but I probably won't do that. Jones refused to mention the player, joking it was the media's "job to figure it out.'' You can figure out he's talking about running back Marion Barber, who receives a $500,000 roster bonus if he's on the roster after March 3.

Barber could be the odd man out with Choice and Jones in the backfield.

Yes please. We need the space for the possibility of O-line, secondary help.

In all seriousness, he had his lowest yard per carry average and lowest total yards this year compared to the rest of his career. This is his seventh year, and he's had some injuries. Perhaps it is time to cut him loose.

I'm hoping the title to the next thread is this: "Rex Ryan: Still a ****."

Ok, how about this: "Rex Ryan: Still a tool."

He has become " Marion, the Librarian."

Funny how the cowboys get a question for the COACH to answer, and the Imbecile owner, who loves to pick his wide nose on national TV, answers instead.

Do the cowboys have a coach? Oh, yeah, they "hired" the kid who isn't allowed to talk or make decisions....

I know. My librarian at my high school could average at least 3.5 yards per carry.

After six years and over a 1,000 hard contact rushes he is not an every down back .
He received $21 million his first three years of that 7 year $45 million contract. I don't think he sees the $24 million left on it.
The bigger question is how much longer Terence Newman gets to cash in on his $54 million contract he got the same time Barber got his. He still has about $30 million due him.

Barber and Holland are both due $500K bonuses. Personally, Jerry could cut both of them and it wouldn't bother me one bit.

Newman, on the other hand, isn't going anywhere.

Overpaid - yes... but the crying need at safety could be an option for him.

Cut the bum...let him go to DC!

Runningbacks are one of the easiest positions to replace. Especially when it's a guy who splits carries like they do in Dallas.

Agree. And in a league that passes more on first down than runs now.

Nice. She must be pretty stout.

Wouldn't a barber cut the Cowboys?

Aren't the Cowboys a football team?

They should keep him. I love his production.
